shrink the progress meter
You don’t need the big green graphic taking up the middle of the web page. I can also see this being the pane where the history lives. Copy what LinkedIn is doing

More options when creating an asset
Believe you should provide more options for locations, logins, etc. The example I will use is a Wordpress Blog. If pointing say... my brother to the blog, he would be totally clueless, and I may want to show him the blog URL:
http://www.stagetwoconsulting.com/wordpress/
And the blog Login:
Both are "locations" yet there is only 1 field for this in asset creation.

Site is confusing the first time you log in
The site doesn’t tell me what it is, or what it does. Says welcome, and lets get started – but no “this is what we do” at any level. Now, I understand you may not have the messaging complete or in place, but the current layout doesn’t lend itself to the “pitch” on the home page.

focus on the right demographics
I would love to better understand your thoughts on primary demographics. I agree when you (JT) claim to be at the top end of the age range, this is definitely not a product for my parents, but is definitely a product for myself, my brother and the “connected” generation.

Site UI is too "big button"
I would like to see it a bit tighter, more “LinkedIn” looking – where you continue to use graphics to represent functions, but they aren’t large graphics – nice, clean and to the point.
The interface for beneficiaries after the locker is activated should be big button consumer. That audience is more likely to have a wider array of non-technical visitors.

Think about ways for the beneficiaries to be more integrated
Are you going to have a “beneficiary portal” view – in which someone who has been made a beneficiary gets a 3rd view that first and foremost supports the person’s role as a beneficiary, but also provides a view similar to the first time user?

Site Layout and Flow
I am not a huge fan of the current layout, it doesn’t seem intuitive to me. This is a site I DON’T see users visiting frequently. The most important component of this is the first time(s) you use the service, and do your primary setup.

don't use last four digits of social security for
Use a diffrent pin - perhaps enhance security questions. People (particularly non-digital oriented) are very reluctant to give up this information, especially given the rise in ID theft.

Add a "what you need to know" section
This would educate estate planners, banks, financial planners, lawyers, etc. w.concept of Legacy Lockers. In addition, it would be good to have a section that updates on current legalese regarding digital safety deposit boxes, etc.

Put more sophistocated alerting in the product
This is a set and forget product, if you allow people to forget – they will. I change passwords, my friends change passwords – people get married, divorced, estranged from family. Doesn’t mean they remember to update stuff. Very often people die and their Will is outdated because they forgot to update the information. You are electronic, use this to your advantage – allow users to set up reminder emails and alerts, send an email yourself that could be:
A full status email that includes a list of assets, letters and beneficiaries every 90 days (60 days, 6 months, let… more

A first version of alerting and warnings is coming before the public launch. Certain conditions like time, activity, etc will result in email alerts and warnings within the app itself. More sophistication to follow

guard against spam filters
Can you actually link to the users email accounts? It would be better to send email through their existing accounts, rather than receiving email from a Legacy Locker domain. You never know when it will get caught in a spam filter, if Google or Yahoo gets a burr up their ass and you land on the “spam” list and suddenly nobody is getting emails. If you can use an API to send emails from a “primary” mail account - an email to yourself will never bounce, and your beneficiaries are 99% likely to receive your email and open it! If… more

Video-demos - Tutorials on what / who / how
Should think about recording a video-demo walking through the product. Maybe a short series of videos (a.) Value-prop - why user LL? What's our promise to the customer? (b.) How does it work? What does it do? (c.) How do I sign up? What does it cost? (d.) Creating assets and assigning verifiers tutorial. (e.) Creating a legacy letter, typed or video. (f.) Security. What's our security level, how do we manage and protect your sensitive information?

use a different term other than "assets"
I don’t like “Assets”, and I especially don’t like “Create” being associated with the term. Should say something like “Add Assets to your Locker” – should reinforce the brand and be a bit more accurate in terminology. At the min, instead of “create”, should be “add”.

allow for multiple beneficiaries
Assets: Assigning beneficiaries – this is NOT identical to a will, or assets that are necessarily monetary. There is a component of LL that is “access” focused. Thus, although assets are typically given to a single individual, you should be able to assign access to multiple beneficiaries – in my case, I would like to give access to my personal email account on yahoo to my father AND brother.
Legacy Letters: This definitely needs me to allow multiple beneficiaries, and I would also like to be able to include email addresses for people that are NOT beneficiaries. If I want… more

PIN Number
PIN Number – let’s remove the “PIN Number”. There’s no place I’ve seen where anyone needs to create a PIN and use it to login. If what we want is their SS, which we are using as another tool for security and verification, then it’s confusing to refer to it as a PIN.

If the user changes browser fonts, the UI gets wonky
Shrink/Enlarge base font, and the text blocks get all out of whack

Creating an asset - maybe suggest using the login page?
When creating an asset that is a website, for the "it is located at..." field, should we consider suggesting that the user select the site's login page, and not the homepage?

Viewing Assets: displaying code instead of text
When I return to the home page, and then click into "my assets" to view what I've stored, I see boxes that contain my various assets. When I click on one, It shows the "Name" and "Type," but the username, password and notes are all "code" - I assume this is a bug?

When viewing my assets, I think it should show the beneficia
When I click into "my assets" to view what I've stored, I see boxes that contain my various assets. When I click on one I think it should show the beneficiary to that asset.
